The ACOD is currently implementing a GIZ-supported initiative to establish an Apprenticeship Unit within the Planning Commission. The unit identifies TVET diploma and certificate holders in construction-related trades, equips them with essential soft skills and career planning training, and then links them with ongoing construction projects for apprenticeship placements. It has also developed a comprehensive database to maintain trainee records and track the details of their training. Through this structured system and hands-on exposure, trainees gain practical skills and real work experience, significantly enhancing their employability in the construction sector.
