The Certified D&I Practitioner Programme was launched in early 2025 with the objective of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the textile industry of Pakistan. The programme has been designed to equip HR professionals and business leaders with the knowledge and tools necessary to create more inclusive and equitable workplaces. It is structured around five comprehensive modules: Foundations of D&I; Unconscious Bias and Inclusive Mindsets; Inclusive Policies, Practices, and Workplace Design; Setting KPIs and Measuring Progress in D&I; and Driving Culture Change and Sustaining D&I Initiatives. Together, these modules provide both conceptual understanding and practical strategies to help organizations embed D&I into their core practices.
So far, examinations for the first two modules—Foundations of D&I and Unconscious Bias and Inclusive Mindsets—have been successfully completed. About 60 HR professionals from 30 textile companies across Karachi, Sialkot, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Rawalpindi have participated and qualified in these exams, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing inclusive practices within their organizations. As the programme progresses to the remaining modules, it is expected to play a transformative role in shaping workplace cultures and strengthening the textile sector’s capacity to embrace diversity and inclusion as a driver of growth and innovation.
